LS1 in a 3rd gen camaro?

Its actually not as easy as people would think and when you think about it, probably not worth the hassle. The 3rd gen isn't lighter by that much (if any), and uses the exact same suspension. The problem is the motor isn't a direct bolt in, requiring either vette accessories ($) or notching the frame. It would be loads simpler to buy a V6 4th gen and do the swap, or just buy an abused LS1 car
I want to put an LS1 in my third gen because I like the body style. My first car was an 86 firebird that I inherited from my grandpa and I've loved the third gen f-bodies ever since.
