the lure of GM...
wouldnt happen scott.. i am positive the GTO wont have the tranny issues that themach1 has
As i said in anothe thread..i think i complain about the mach1 cos i am used to the aussie Holden and Ford quality.. worlds above what Ford considers acceptable over here.. and if the GTO is built in australia.. GM peple will get alittle taste of some of the holden quality.

The longblock is all the same. but I dont think any American companies have parts available yet for a totally new chassis such as headers, CAI, exhaust, suspension components. The fact its the car chassis like that here and its not being produced in high #s will most likely raise the cost of parts quite a bit compared to its fbody bretheren. Look at the C5 and viper parts. None of the are cheap. The only parts I see swappable is the actual motor itself and internal parts. And if you wanted to bring over parts from Austrilia, im damn sure they arent going to be cheap or easy to get shipped here.
