I've got a quick question. There is a guy I work with who has a 98 C5 w/auto. He has been talking much shit about how he would kill my car. What are some of the numbers on the car (hp & 1/4 times) He keeps telling me he has 385 hp. I thougt they were 345hp or something like that. Anyway, your guys info would be appreciated. BTW, he is bone stock. Thanks!!

98 c5 would be 345. If your stock he will get you. I figure a 98 c5 is low 13s.

 

sounds right to me, its a auto also so probly mid 13's i would say at best.

 

my 98 auto went 13.0 @107 with a air filter and a muffler.

 

whats done to the Cobra?

 

There was no stall converter involved in that?

 

I know of a 98 Manual that ran 12.8 stock. I also know of an auto 98 C5 running 13.0 with cold air kit and a catback so don't be so sure they won't run a 13.3-13.2 stock.

 

Thanks guys!! All I have done is 4:10's, h-pipe, dumps, and k&n. My buddy with an 01 gt ran heads up with him from 65-110. The gt has pulleys,long tubes,h-pipe,flows,steeda cold air intake,3:73's, and short shifter. He ran a 13.8 @101. This guy is quite the moron. His other car is a 91 civic with some sort of ferrari looking wide body kit. He is a tool. Once again, thanks.
