ok i got a 74 BB Chevy Nova, well my problem is the damn starter took out the block where the starter mounts no i didn't have the brace since it would not clear the headers so now i'm stuck with a broken block(396) any advice on who makes repairs or should i find another block, i might as well get me a 454 block now more Ci.

 

Youll have to get another block. It probably could be welded, but I wouldnt trust it.

 

i've made some calls,checked with a machine shop and they can weld it but no warranty so i guess i need to look for a block, thanks.
