Default First car

Ok so I have a younger brother who will be 16 in about a year. We've been looking into cars for him and I wanna know if anybody has any suggestions. Keep in mind though, that the car cant be too powerful cause hes only 16, it cant be too old cause hes gonna have to rely on it, and he will only be allowed to do mild tuning. We're looking at the $20,000 and under price bracket here. I say he goes with either a used WRX or a used RSX type S. Tell me what you guys think.

We would go srt-4, but its a dodge so you never know how long it'll hold up. I mean it has to last through college for him. Plus it has to be under 20K with tax and everything. Oh and I have an SE-R and we all know little brother can never be like big brother.

I talked to him about a 5.0, but he has that whole "domestics blow" mindset. I tried to tell him its got some good speed, but he wasnt having any of it.

80's starion or conquest....quick, potential, but problematic - he'll learn about tuning more.

....or get him an old sc300/400 and have him plan to 2jz it....
look on evolving him with the first car
and go rwd
from the beginning

Id love to do that. I mean a 16 year old with a 2jz powered SC. The perfect combo of style and power. That kid would be a pimp. But like I said he wont be able to do much tuning cause he has little money and my parents wont allow it. But Ill definitely run the rwd option by him. Cause we all know rwd=fun. It just might be hard to find one with good stock power thats relatively new.

Newer 240SX . like 97

Not too powerful , damn reliable , tunning potential .

Plus it should still be under 10k . Nice cars too .
