Question Ramsey's Performance

Anyone ever deal with these guys? How's their work? Reputation? Specifically with non-Ford applications. Thanks.

Shit... dont go to them dan.
Unfortunately I was refered to them when my clutch blew up and i had no were to work on it.
They have sloppy work- Did not put my insulation boot back on my shifter, they did not listen to the throw out bearing (they told me that it was normal break in)... BS
And they started a Cobra up without oil in the engine when i was in there..
Another word of advice from someone who's hands are still greasy from helping a friend put his tranny back in after a clutch install........
If you have under 400hp and drive your car a lot, get a LT4 clutch or a SLP clutch. Proven clutches that grab alittle harder and still driveable in traffic.

Awww shizzit Leon. I should've posted this sooner because my car is already there. I'll find out tomorrow if that was a mistake, but I've heard good stuff about them. I got hooked up with a free install for my RAM clutch/pp because my girl works for Makes& Models magazine and I noticed that Ramsey's advertises there. So I mentioned if she could ask George, the owner of M&M, if he could hook me up and he did; Ramsey's gets bigger ad space out of the deal. I thought I had everything I needed but Ramsey's said that I gotta get a new flywheel since having them turned for LT1 applications is a no-no because it'll mess up the engagement blah, blah. I'm near broke so when this opportunity arose I took it, thinking that I was gonna save $200.00 by not taking it to Brandon Transmission like I had originally planned, but I still am spending for a flywheel that I hadn't planned on buying. I've been really apprehensive since I agreed to it because I HATE having other people work on my rides. Hell, last summer I had bodywork done to my Z-28 at Autoway Chevy on Hillsborough Ave. and I knew that they ragged the hell out of my car because I had a 1/2 tank of gas when I left it and it was near empty when I got it back and they put 14 miles on it, so some prick took it for a joyride. My old man is a mechanic and it's always been he and I to do the wrench turning on our cars, but he's 65 and since he sold his shop we have no lift anymore or the desire to crawl on our backs for a job this major. I guess I'll see if I am a happy customer tomorrow.

Dan, make sure everything checks out right one it before you leave with it...
You can turn the flywheel as long as it stays within the tolerance range... which is around .020 of an inch. If u would have had this done its important that they know what they are doing. A lot of places just say replace it.... plus its good for them if they buy a new one for you.

....."Dan", it's Arnold . I see how it is, one Asian associates with BADRAP and were all the same! It's my fault for not hanging out though. The inaugural, pre-rice Sonics rolling thunder left my clutch "chattering" on every shift, so another night out with the fellas would have probably left me with a tow truck bill.
