Mazda6 MPS Turbo All-Wheel-Drive Performance
As of now this is only a concept car, but I think it will come into production as a Mazdaspeed Mazda6. I'm not sure it will be able to compete with the wrx and evo, but at least they are targeting the car enthusiast croud.
I think we will be seeing this car within a year. I was at a mazda regional meeting and the 8th or 9th car was a mazdaspeed ?????, they would not tell us what was coming out.
Anyways....would you buy one?

I'd be down for one if the price was right, even if its a step behind the evo and Sti in performance numbers its still 5 times better looking..... it doesn't come riced out from the factory

Ford/Mazda is going to whore that 2.3l Turbo motor out. It is supposed to find its way into the next SVT Focus. If it is anything like the Turbo'd 2.0l in the Protege, then it probably isn't worth the extra money.
I'd rather see them do something with the existing 3.0l V6 and throw in the AWD from the Jag X-type. Mazda is never going to be able to compete with the EVO, STi, or even the lowly 1.8t Jetta...so whats the point of making another lackluster "tuner" car?

Isn't there a limited edition, turbo'd Focus available in Europe already? Too lazy to look it up, but I seem to remember it being a 2.0L, AWD homologation model targeted at the STi/EVO crowd. As for the Masda 6, looks nice, but not my cup of tea.

I wish I could find something concrete, but from what I have been hearing the Mazdaspeed 6 should be around 300hp AWD turbo 4 banger. If thats true, it should be right there with the STi and beat out the Evo.
WTF...is wrong with car companies these days..GEEZ. Did iron companies stop selling enough metal to make motor's with more then 2.0 or 2.3 litters. Kinda pathetic...why don't they start making cars with balls. And I'm not talking the tonned down WRX or EVO. Like where are our designers who want to make a 5.7Ltr. Mustang or camaro commming out the factory with Twins sitting on each side of the block or something around there. Geez all these little things are making turbos look bad.
