Reliability of Accords and 200SX's worth the price in parts?

Thanks for the input guys...
One of my friends has a fully loaded 96 (i think) Accord with Vtec, leather, cd, all options for 5 grand or around there. He's got first dibs on my cash if im buying an accord with over 100k on the miles.
Thanks for the 200sx info Sabri... I also like the 95-97 240SX but its just way to tempting to do an engine swap.. I just want a reliable car that looks good, rides fine and has been taken care of... so I tell my self.....
I have that devil on my left shoulder whispering SR20DET and S14, and 16G.......
I have to stick to my guns!... I already have a money pit. cant afford 2.

200sx is reliable but if you really want something reliable just get a 95-99 sentra. only thing is if you get the 200sx make sure its an se-r or you will really wanna do an engine swap. the se-r platform just rides better than the ga16de although the ga is really reliable its just soooo slow.
then again i have a 96 accord and i really like the reliability of that too ( 130xxx) and it still runs strong. my parents bought it from the lot brand new and it has never had any mechanical problems and has always ran great.

I've got 81k hard hard miles on my 97 200sx se-r, the last 10-15k have been force fed and not a single problem yet. Good daily drivers and get awesome gas mileage and are quite easy to make very quick if you ever got in the mood to do it. The sr20de in the se-r has been proven many many times to hold 400+whp on stock internals as well. goodluck on your decision.

You're just supposed to talk up whatever you do know as if you're a salesman for it. i.e. I drive a Supra and a Corolla therefore 2JZ is the greatest and so is the 4A and I don't care about anything else because it's all crap since I don't have it. I also have a stack of $20 bills in front of me, therefore 20>50 and 20>100 and 20>1000. $20 bill FTW.

Its a 96 Accord EX, 4 door, leather, tape and CD, 112k miles. Outside is not perfect but not bad, inside is clean and the car runs smooth.
I would have paid about 5000-5500 anywhere else plus sales tax and possibly dealer fees.

zdriver, pop your hood and take a look at your engine. i bet you 100 bucks it says vtec, not vtech.
