I would definitly check insurances rates. Also if u are buying this brand new alot of the cars on your list will end of being over 20k. I now alot of people who have owned neons and the cars seem to be cheaply made IMO, but i dont know about the SRT-4 on paper the car seems nice but after 20k miles and driven for a year the car may in up having problems i would talk to some owners of the car to see if they have had any problems yet. I would say go with the wrx if u want a turbo car. If u want the best bang for the buck then go with a Mustang

You honestly think the Fbody is a well built quality car? I'm sure you know their issues so I won't waste bandwidth to identify them. Sure every car has its issues, but you can't think GM is going to sell 12 second cars with great build quality for $23k.

FF23,

I own one. I have no issue with it that are not related to what I would consider wear and tear. I won't drop to the level of insulting Fords since I have never owned one but I have heard all the Ford horror stories too.

I would have to agree that GM could have done a better job making/designing the F-body. My car is a perfect example. (Window Motors, Headlight Motors, all the little buttons here and there that I need to replace) Now as far as the mechanical parts are concerned it's all good....well if you don't include the opti!!!

gee 'slinger, can't even get a GM guy to agree with you. Now, please point out in my post where I insulted GM's? And feel free to bring Fords into the pic, because I never said they were high quality either (though I will say in my opinion the FOX stang is a better quality car than a 4th gen). My point is this: There is no free lunch. If anyone makes a car that goes 12's and is a good quality car, it will not be found for $23k.

I never said you insulted GMs I said I wasn't going to stoop to the level of throwing out insults. Your opinion is that Fox body Mustangs are better quality than the 4th gen Fbody my opinion and personal tastes differ from yours.
