look on any 2G eclipse and there is a MAP and a MAF. The reason for the MAP i dunno... this is why i deal mainly with 1Gs. But the ECU and tuning is dependant on the MAF. This isnt anything new. As for the 0-5V setup... these people seem pretty dumb.... if they are off testing EVO 8s... they should at least know something about Mitsus.. The MAFs on them are Karman Vortex setups not Hot Wire like most all other MAFs. My opinion is that these people have no buisness dealing with this car. And for the record.... it will whop the shit outta the STI.

A respected Mutsubishi shop dyno'd 258whp and 270lb/ft of torque stock.

Then, they were screwing around and came up with 280whp and 287lb/ft of torque for free. They said they found more free stuff and will dyno those changes too.

Not looking to get into a STi - EVO 8 argument, just adding a point.

you wish Zate. keep on dreaming. AMS is the ones who Dynoed the 258whp and 270lb/ft of torque. Here's a Pic and another Pic. With a 12% loss for FWD Dyno.(Yes it can be done.) it makes to about 290hp at the crank. You looking for a Dyno chart, then ask AMS for it. As for them pulling BS... i dont have a reason not to believe them.

You guys do need to realize that Vishnu is one of the top tuners for the WRX. He has a very good reputation for not throwing out bs and most of his findings are usually dead on accurate. It sounds like he's being cautious with these findings but only time will tell with the final verdict. According to the data my WRX with exhaust should be putting down more power than the stock EVO. If this is true his would be rather disapointing for anyone. Given the results the EVO would have a 31%+ drive train loss to make the claimed factory crank power. I don't know, it's still a cool car regardless of power. The 30HP gain w/o touching boost is good news though.

The SRT4 is still faster...
