GM purchased and tested this Cheetah prototype in the 1960s and was even owned by former GM president John F. Gordon. Now, for the first time since 1969, it will be offered for sale to the public.

This example is the second-ever prototype built of the Cheetah. Instead of fiberglass, it uses aluminum for its bodywork.

It was ordered by GM as a development project. This Cheetah underwent testing by Chevrolet between December 1963 to April 1964. It also has racing history that includes an event at Riverside in California.

Find this 1964 Cheetah #002 Prototype for auction at Hemmings, with an estimated value of $2,000,000.
