Subaru SVX??
im considering buying a subaru SVX... ive heard their turbo and also heard their not... i know NOTHIGN about these cars so if someone could give me a little info about them.... are they quick? reliable? ect.. Thanx -Chris

230 HP NA flat 6 .. pretty reliable.. all Autos (i have seen a 5 speed swap.. aparently its not too hard).... all though there can be some issues with the auto tranny.. but it can be fixed easily i heard.. if it happens..
0-60 is about 6.5-7.. quater in low 15's high 14's.. i've seen em tubo'd too.. they do ok.. but more expensive than its worth ..
as a daily drive though. fantastic.. i considered one for a long time.. they are AWD aswell.. great in the wet.. kind sleek and sexy lookin..

i do believe they made some turbo and 5speed. ive seen a few for sale. unless they did the swap.

hmm, i found one in mint condition with 60k miles, new timing belt, all power, black leather seats, sun roof... for 4k at a dealer... whcih means 3500 would probably take it... thanx for the info guys i really didnt know too much about the car, i just went and sat in it cause i saw it on the lot and i liked it... ill go take a test drive today and let ya know how it runs

Just be mindful of the tranny.....I've read and heard that they are not the strongest.
But post up some pics if you end up getting it......I've loved them since back in the day when they first started making them and when all I knew was that they were the weird ass cars that had the crazy windows.

yea haha the windows are sick, i love how the back windows go down too... and thank god its got a sunroof 
how much would it cost for a tranny for those cars? its only got like 63k miles is that high for the trannys on those cars?

or better yet.. go in and see the techs at Mastro Subaru..
it woudl be cheaper from what i hear to do the 5 speed swap.. its just your generic 5 speed from a 98+ 2.5 RS.. not too difficult from what i hear.. uses the pedals.. tranny.. clutch etc etc..

yea im just kinda strapped for cash right now... i sold my rs-t for 2275 plus i got like 160$ so i have a total of like $2450 to work with... im not nessacerly getting a SVX but im kinda intrested... no one really has those cars so it would be kinda cool to have something different that also has potential... i also kinda want a CRX but i cant seem to find any nice ones with low miles...
