Default Grounding Kit for Engine Bay

Are these grounding kits bullshit? I was thinking of installing one, because grounding shit in the mr2 engine bay is a hassle. and the factory grounding cables are not that great. From what I have read, they are supposed to free up HP, but I don't care about that, I am just interested in its grounding abilities.

Didn't the FD RX7 with mods gain something like 12HP ? It had upgraded FMIC , DP , BC and stuff . The factory Toyota ignition is pretty good and it puts out quite a bit of power so I mean it would probally give you some gain .

It does help in high ignition power aplications since you have more AMP's running through the stock crappy grounding .

Would you even be able to feel the 1-2horsepower gain?

Cleaning the contact areas and tighening the existing factory ground strap fasteners would be certain to give you the same positive effect if any were really gained.

Any ground strap that can operate the starter can support instrument, ignition and injector loads just fine.

anyone who knows or has experienced/owned mr2s knows about the possible bad grounding effects.

mark, how much is that kit? like $100? i hope not much more than 150 at least. perhaps you'll just have to be a guinea pig and test it for yourself. perhaps some tax return money can go to it?

besides, why put something on your car when its sitting dead in the gravel backyard in some dingy shop in orlando?!?!?

*EDIT* ps - can i borrow your wheels til it runs again? hehe
i'll keep em clean. if not, ill see if i can borrow some of the supra wheels there...since theres like 3 mr2s and 3 supras there now lol

Why would you go out and buy that when you can pretty much go and make it all yourself??
