What I was saying waS 99.9% of the (wanna be ) drifters say hatchiroku,
Which they probally dont know what it means..hell I didnt know what it meant ..You can be running around saying it and dont know it means " a goat fucks my mom"
The versions of this that Japan and other Asian countries had were called the Levin,I know the US Twin Cam Corolla came with a 1.6 Twin cam FI..or you can find the same body style WITH a carb on a single cam set up (SR5)
As a matter of fact I know a guy who might have a 86 rwd SR5 but it has a trunk ,not a hatch back.
I think he was selling it for $700. <---BUT Im not 100% sure..
I will have to look through my ghetto fabulois pictuere album for my boys old twin cam ..

by the way doesnt the GTS have an FI 1.8 DOHC? i think they do. but ive been told by people who know a helluva lot more than more like taka that you want the GTS and not the FX16 and SR5.

Australia gets the Levin
and Japan gets the Trueno.
there are subtle differences in the front clip department.

The FX is a trim of Corolla's, it was a FWD Hatchback, the FX16 GTS came with the same 4A-GELC engine as the Corolla GTS and NA MR 2s.
The engine is a Twin Cam I4 with a 81mm bore , 77mm stroke and 9.4:1 compression. It put out about 120 peak hp. This engine has been built to produce well over 200whp in NA trim as it was raced for over 15 years

I still see them around..but they are hard to find..
