Get ready to get flamed by Miata owners... That being said,
They are a girls car, plain and simple. Yes they are autocrossable and nimble, but a dude behind the wheel of one just doesnt look right.

You usually see them lowered to the point of shit handling, rendering them useless for autocrossing. On top of that, everyone that owns one thinks hes a fucking handling god. The 95% of regular miata owners are women, so yes, vaginamobile all the way.

If done right they are awesome cars. a bit to small for me, I like to feel at least half safe when driving..
They are a few notches above nissan z cars and is300's for me. way above bmw z series.

Personally, I understand the appeal for someone who's looking for a weekend racer, however.............It seems like every dude that gets one, automatically becomes a dickhead that thinks he's the greatest auto-x racer in the world, or a track God. News flash! No you're not!

Its the car for the guy who couldn't care less what others think. Add a turbo, springs, shocks, plus a good tire and you can hang with almost anything on the track. Cost to turbo? About 2k.
Its a no brainer as long as you don't mind comments like the above ones. I didn't, and I owned one. Also, one of the best car community's out there, with weekly meets wherever you are usually. Quickest way to man it up is getting a roll bar asap, if you're sensitive to that sort of thing.

The all mew Miata MX5 2013 is a great car to look at and an enhanced drive train is the most important feature...The color variants are just awesome and look just perfect..this car is surely to look out for if you want a fun drive and a reliable engine..
