Dont have one. No need. It's not how you shift your car, it's how you drive your car..... I did have one on my old corolla, but it was home made.

Default Interfit....A lot of things fit other cars, and since I fabricate things........

LOL! I was wondering what the "///M" stood for.....

I have seen the badges over here.I am aware there are "tuner cars" and "tuner companies" in Germany. They make a lot of things to improve Porsches as well as BMW's.....maybe other cars as well. I am also aware of the strict vehicle inspections in Germany. A lot of Florida cars would not pass the German inspection standards. I now wonder if the German tuner cars and parts are sold only in other markets and/or in other countries.

Interfit is a good word. Sometimes over here they use the word "interchange". Every time I go to the re-cyclers.......formerly called "junkyards" LOL. I always ask for an interchange list on something........sometimes on a car that I don't own......they print out everything that will interchange over, and that list goes into my tech folder. A lot of things fit other cars, and since I fabricate things I want to know what will change over. Example: Some Ford parts fit Mazdas. Knowledge is one way that I continuallydo what other people say is impossible. That's how I have wider BMW wheels on my Honda, which everyone "knows" is impossible to do....... -Bob

Over here they also want to sell you the entire item just to get the gasket. Every time I make a gasket or have to buy a different kind, I put the template in an envelope. Saves me time later.-Bob

You can shift a little bit faster but you have to pay attention.mechanical-wise its working fine, not scratching on the propshaft, no need to bend the shifter, the knob fits of course. relatively cheap even though it has an "///M" in the name (what usually means "you have to pay MORE")I had a video uploaded on youtube showing the function of it, but deleted it a few weeks ago.Compared to a stock BMW shifter (which is precise as we all know but has very long ways) I'm quite satisfied. I dont know if there are any other solutions like the other ones in this thread (which look very tempting) but over here in Germany special aftermarket parts are hard to find for GERMAN cars. I even had to order doorhandle gaskets in Japan because at the dealership you only get them with the handle's bezel which I didnt need. dealers like Sandtler or Schmiedmann (racing parts distributors) might have something better to offer, but most likely racing parts arent legal to put in a car, regulations and stuff. google for "TÜV" and you know what I mean. Luckily the M-divison back then made most of the E36 M3 or Z3M parts interfit (is that the right word?) with the other chassis variants so there are some better parts you can buy for alot of money from the dealerships lol

alot of Tuner companies like Manhart Racing, Hartge, Hamann, Carlsson, Brabus, 9ff, TechArt and all the others build ridiculous expensive cars, some of them focus on performance (even though its just swapping an M5 V10 into a 3series wagon), others focus on both design and power.

needless to say some creations are so ugly, they only find buyers in Russia or the Middle East because they like loud / ugly / expensive cars.

I saw the Hamann Hawk last week @ Hockenheim, google for it. plain ugly. but thats already off topic

Factory Miata shifter. After driving all sorts of other 5 speeds, its the shortest from the factory. Some people go shorter, but I dont understand why..just seems like it'd be easier to miss-shift

Have you ever driven a SRT-4 and made that shift throw? They should've come from the factory with mopar short shifters or others. Hell even the short throws are too long IMO.

Stock Mopar here. A lot of Viper guys whine about the stocker and usually get MGW. I guess I'll start thinking about getting a short throw when they start beating me.
