hey quick question!

Default hey quick question!

how do you know when your pcv valve is dead or on its way out? i tend to just replace them when i get new tires, just so i won't forget nut i didn't this time and was wonder what happens if they start to go bad?

The PCV valve is a one way valve. If it's bad it will either get stuck open or closed.

I usually check/replace it when I get idling issues.

when they go bad in a 300zx, you get all kinds of fun tail pipe smoke.


But, I'm pretty sure they are intended to last 60K miles. But I have had cars with 120K miles and the stock pcv valve on them.
