Default OK! IM PISSED!

Alright People, heres the run-down, I bought my car from this place called Auto Outlet, Inc. on Ulmerton Road, I paid $1400 for it, and was guaranteed that the engine was in perfect condition, but the interior needed work.. so I did a basic look over the engine before I bought it, and realized it was pretty good. But today, me and my mechanic went at the engine, taking almost everything apart, and hitting top speeds on the track to test it out. And here is what we found..

#1- One front headlight had been super-glued straight.
#2- There a 2 inch piece of dipstick broke off in my oil.
#3- The sunroof has been sealed with something out of this world, and still is partially open for rain :\
#4- The distributor rattles around, and looks like he tried to nail it down or something to keep me from noticing.
#5- The starter sucks.
#6- The air Filter is full of Oil.
#7- The Air Cleaner was Full of oil.
#8- The Intake was taped up.
#9- The PCV Valve Is Shot to hell.

So people, this is a warning... so my personal opinion is, DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM AUTO OUTLET.

Just for future reference, always thoroughly inspect possible buys before giving them any money. If you aren't knowledgable yourself, hire a mechanic, and for a couple hundred dollars you may save yourself thousands in headaches. Moral of the story buyer beware of everything no matter what they say.

I suggest you drop the oil pan to see if the piece of the dipstick is in there.

Well, I do admit it was partially my fault, I rushed into it. But see, the day before I bought it, the guy popped the hood, and let me take a quick look at the engine... and it looked fine, and was running strong. Then, the day I bought it, I DID bring my mechanic down there... but the guy did something to the hood, that wouldn't let it open up again, so I was like "No biggy, Ill fix it when I get home"... the guy had majorly loosened the wire linkage that the hood switch uses to open the hood, so I tightened that, and THEN popped the hood, and found the problems... Today or Tomarrow, Im going to see if I can give the car back to him, and another $300-400 and walk another car off the lot, but this time, Im going to check the engine, every minor detail.

If this place has already screwed you once I would not recommend you give them another $300 so they can sell you a more expensive lemmon.

Quit while you are ahead.

Small independent used lots on the side of the road are the kinds of places where you are most likely to get screwed.

I would recommend you try to get your money back (good luck) and buy a better car from an individual through the auto trader.

My piece of shit acura I sold for $700 a little over a year ago sounds like it was in much better shape than what you bought, and it was a 1986.
