All I know is my dads genesis is one bad ride. I really like that thing. Hyundai has the newest technology painting systems for their cars too if I remember correctly.

Decent cars nowadays. They were crap when they first came out, but not so much anymore. I wonder why they don't change their name to lose the stigma of being a "Hyundai" now that they're making a new class of car.

Why is it some people actually give a shit about what others think about their cars...and why is it they make it their mission in life to try to prove just how good a car x company makes? When did car enthusiasts get such fragile egos?

No you're retarded because you're fucking stupid. Yes Honda did and still does have a great business model. And no Nissan followed exactly what Honda did. All three Honda Toyota and Nissan came to us with cheap reliable cars to compete against huge american v8's. During the price hike in gas they obviously won. Also as I remember Honda is the first of the Asian countries to bring in a "luxury" vehicle to a US market. Then who followed after them and brought their own "new" company to US. Yes it was Toyota and Nissan. Thats exactly what Hyundai is doing and soon you will see Kia with their luxury 40k car.

So suck it.

Not what I stated, I talked about the warranty and cheap prices, Nissan tackle the US in a different way than Honda, by doing exactly what you said takeing on performance in an affordabll fashion. That is NOT what Honda did so thank you for proving my point for me. Honda did not come in and try to compete with the American V8's or any performance car to start out with. they did exactly as I stated in my first post and continue to state, they started with affordable reliable cars and gave them rediculous warranties to entice buyers. Then when people found out that they run forever and are great product for the $$ Honda started to increase the ammenties/luxuries/performance /prices of their cars and moved into the mainstream. <----What Hyundai is doing NOW!

Thank you you once again for proving my point though I appreciate the help

---And this is Honda's 1st car in the USA in 1967.....over SIX years before the oil embargo that caused the gas hike you speak of. Again, Facts...they are littered throughout History.

Definitely not made to compete against V8's...

Not compete in that fucking sense you idiot competing as in stealing sales from big cars that were being produced through that period. Nissan was the same way they had a sport car and that was it. Rest of the stable was full of econoboxes.
