p.o.v on hyundai?
I drove a handful of newer hyundai's at my old job and I didn't really have any complaints. They definitely upped their game and were doing things a lot better. As for people hating, it's just something that always has, and always will happen. Doesn't matter what car you have, people need something to dislike or fight about.
love my hyundai, never thought i would say that the first car i bought brand new off the showroom floor would be a hyundai, but its a badass car, way better than any civic i ever had, lol

Wow, you are calling me retarded??? You need to go back and learn Honda's history if you think what I say is wrong. And don't get ass hurt because your precious H logo started out as the cheap affordable brand from the land of the rising sun.....

I dont drive a honda faggot, and believe me no one hates honda fags more than me. You're fucking retarded, all I said is every maker out of Asia brought their car to Europe and US as cheap, reliable car manufacturer.

I think his point was more along the lines that "honda did it first"
Sure you had toyota, but it was by all rights, a fluke that their crap was anywhere near as reliable as anything else. And it wasn't until they were half way established that they even started to make cars that could handle more than 100K.
AND, more to the point.
Only the cheap shit got exported to other countries. They sent the econobox reliable cars over here to compete with the big fat domestic cars of the time.
And technically, looking at history, the only reason it paid off is because of the first "oil crisis" when everyone jumped out of their built like a tank cars and into the cheap toyotas.
Honda was actually one of the few that would have survived without that happening.
My personal 2 cents, toyota would have failed, or at the very least, been a minor player in the game if it wasn't for that time period.
So yeah, in effect, they all did it, but many of them did it out of change, not out of planning. Honda seemed to be the only one that actually built their company around that plan. Hyundai did the same. But, just like "back in the day" If the price of a gallon didn't jump up over 3 bucks, pushing 4 bucks a gallon years ago, Do you think Hyundai would be where it is now?
Things we think about....

If you really want to know why, it was because of the Excel. It was a cheap car about 5k back then and it was completely done by 80k miles. We bought them as DD for work commute and after about 3 years and some change they were throw away cars. that is where they got the bad stigma. However they are a whole different company now but some have not forgiven them.

I use to say i would never own one. Working on the service side of dealerships for years they would always get traded in or whatever and just be big pieces of shit. Through the years they have come along way. I own a Genesis Coupe R-Spec and its a good car for the money. My gf has the turbo sonata and that car is sweet. Drives soooo good and the build quality is great.

Lets see....I'm retarded because I know history?? Facts are Facts! Honda did this first and it is a great business model that they are following. Nissan followed a different model so NO they are NOT all the same. I promise I am far more educated than you and I promise you won't say a fucking word to me in person!
