Curious who here drives a car without air conditioning and whether or not it is tolerable in the FL summers. What do you hate about it? What do you like about it?

 

I do but whatever only thing I don't like about it is my pleather seats they heat up.

 

I had two cars without AC back in 01 and 02. Never again will I drive a car without A/C in FL unless it's a vert or a jeep.

 

I've driven for the past couple of years without A/C. There's nothing I really like about it, but you do get used to it. The biggest problem is if you have to be anywhere in the afternoon. You will arrive there sweaty. It's not so bad if you are moving, but setting still in traffic sucks. Heck, even these past couple of weeks with temps in the 80's, it gets warm stopped at lights.

Do you think you could buy a smaller A/C condenser to put up front that doesn't hit the fog light? Where there's a will there's a way, it just depends how much time and money you want to invest in it.

 

I have had cars without ac and its the sitting in traffic in the afternoons that sucks, and when it rains. My 87 t top stang will have the ac removed, but that is a good weather only toy. 92 pick up I drive for work and school has ice cold ac.

 

if you like having sweat stains in your arm pits and the back of your shirt when you arrive anywhere, swamp ass for half the year, your girl/wife complaining about it (or outright refusal to ride along), problems with fog on your windshield every time it rains, then you will love not having A/C in your car. That is a possibility. Last night I was considering ditching the A/C but there is no way I'll do it unless something expensive breaks.

Thinking about removing my A/C made me wonder how many crazy folks out there are running around without it. This also made me realize just how soft our generation is...my parents grew up in FL driving around in cars without this luxury. I can't seem to live without it.

 

ive pretty much never had ac hahah it sucks ass when your sweatin your balls off

 

i drive my 88 mustang with out A/C but i preferto have it, car sits in garage when its real hot.
