You took the words right out of my mouth. I haven't had a car with a/c for atleast 5 years now.

 

I rarely use my ac, but it does come in handy, like everyone mentioned, the rain and hot afternoons are hard to bare when your in traffic without ac. Trick is, dont park your car in the sun. Dont park under trees either.. SO.. were all SOL. But if the car is not already burnning hot from parking in the sun, you can easily get by without ac, as long as your not stopped in traffic...

 

I love the sun and bake pretty well. Plus Sun tan lotion works wonders

 

drove a 450+whp eg hatch around for quite awhile never had AC... The car was annoying in the day time... pull it out of the garage u have about 15 mins of riding without being fully pitted out... thats if ur lucky and catch ZERO red lights and no traffic... oh and if it rains... good luck, your inside windows will fog up like cheech and chong were riding shotty. lol

 

i used to do it. now i drive with my a/c on, even in the winter. less dirty inside the car.

 

When I was younger I had plenty of cars without ac, even some with ac but that 50whp gain you get by taking the belt off is awsome . Now I have kids so ac is an absolute must have!

 

I have a/c, but i don't really use it unless its burning hot. Windows down and sunroof open is good enough usually.

 

I went out of my way to get a complete AC system shipped from Oregon before I moved down here from New York. Wasn't fully functional until today. I wont do August again in traffic with black leather interior. It burns a bit.

 

I was skeptical on the whole 50 whp but I left it alone.

 

If you saw my Accord at the meets during hot weather, I have 2
scoops in the back window, driver side and two air ducts. They blow
cold air onto my neck just below the headrest.
I call it ram-air...........conditioning.

I start to feel it around 30.
It feels GOOD at 50.
At 70, a person is looking for a way to shut it
off....it's so cold.

To activate the Air Conditioning, which I have, but is not working,
the last part missing is an A/C Clutch. Once I have that, I may get
rid of the air scoops except for car meets.-Bob
