EVO VIII - 233bhp + New look for WRX/STi
According to the article below.. the next STi and EVO VIII have been in testing at the Ring.
EVO is said to get 276 HP in Japan trim and 233 in Euro trim (with upgrades up to 300 from dealer) .. the Sti is 276 in Japan and 261 in Euro. Now.. in keeping with the new Japanese way of building one domestic version and one export version that meets the rest of the worlds requirements.. the new EVO VIII will most likely be 233 HP here aswell..
i know i know.. you die hard EVO boys are gonna tell me.. no its confirmed.. 276 HP for the US.. but i hate to break it to you.. if europe doesnt get the full 276.. then no way you will.. same with the Sti.. europe has as a whole less strict rules for cars than you guys here do.. so it seems we will see a detuned STi and EVO VII hit our shores next year..

The hood scoop is horrible. Way too big. I'm sure they will lower it some otherwise people will be catching birds in their scoops. The headlights aren't that bad. I like them better than the current wrx headlights.
Much improvement over current looks. The headlights are much better in my opinion, although they seem to draw from the RSX, with the exception that they don't draw to a point on the inside.

hood scoop and lights pwn you !!
the hood scoop on the current STi is larger than the one on the WRX to allow for better cooling to a bigger intercooler..

damn.. they are exaggerating things more and more..
looks to me in the article the STi fared better because the EVO couldnt stay on the track 
compare the EVO and STi we get here.. not the japanese versions
cos if we are compareing the japanese versions.. they should be using the S202 or the Type RA vs the EVO RS ...
