First Car Soon
Hey TR, i'm looking to buy first car real soon, and want something that I can make real clean, because I have some money that I've been saving to put into it.
Basically, I have 12-15k to spend on a car. My parents are paying for it because I'm paying for part of it, and have earned good grades etc. and worked out a deal with them, so thats how much they're spending.
Restrictions:
Can only spend 12-15k
Needs to be 07' or newer
Needs dealership warranty etc.
Needs to be 4 cylinder
Obviously needs to be safe lol
I've been looking around briefly on autotrader just to get an idea of what the local lots have right now, and the 8th gen Civic Si really caught my eye, I've ridden in one before, and my older brother has the EX version decently hooked up, so i already know my way around the car. I'd like to hear some other reccomendations from you all, so i'd like to hear some positive input!

Oh man, I think you're actually right.
Sounds like you know what you want. If you really want to be gay, you could go to the Kia dealership and test out the Forte Coupe.
Edit: IF I were you, I'd take the money I saved up and buy something that if I wrecked, I wouldn't feel like I needed to end my life. I'd tell my parents to put that money towards college. Having a nice car isn't the end all be all.

Assuming you are between the ages of 16 to 21...have fun with the insurance on an Si or anything similar (GTI, SER, etc). Stick with a regular Civic to keep insurance costs somewhat reasonable.
Also check out a couple year old VW Rabbit. They are safe, reliable, and very fun to drive (good amount of torque with the 5-cylinder). They had a 4yr 50k warranty up through most of the '09 production year.
Subaru Impreza is also another good one (not the WRX).
