/head desk...someone should just create a flaming thread for everyone to get this shit out of their systems...as far as staying on topic with the original poster...I second the VW idea...if your parents get good rates I'd go with the GTI otherwise as someone else mentioned earlier just stick with the base model cars and spend the extra cash on making it hang with the "loaded" model. I definitely wouldnt go with a honda...that car was the "me too" car for like 10 years...with that said...avoid the eclipse and 240sx as well lol.

hard to say as insurance estimates vary so much...but just as a ballpark figure it'll probably be close to 900-1200 dollars a year difference or roughly 75 - 100 bucks more a month
