DAILY DRIVER:
2001 Honda Accord LX
Likes: Family friendly, reliable, great on gas. Parts are inexpensive when and IF replaced.
Dislikes: Everyone and their mother has a granny gold accord like I have. Did I mention Honda auto trannys are AUTOTRAGIC?

1986 Honda CRX Si- soon to be daily'd
Likes: Very simple to work on, Reliable, Handles great and even better when modded. Lots of fun to drive. Think: Oversized Gokart. Not a very common Honda compared to the norm..... (EF,DA,EG,EK,DC,EP,BLAH BLAH BLAH)
Dislikes: Plastic body panels that crack easily and are hard to find (let alone PRICEY) or out of production OEM parts. Or even, aftermarket performance parts. The car is at or around 25 years old. With these you have to have love for or be creative to mod one.

Wifes Daily:
05 Montego.
Likes. 3.0 Duratec, Great Gas mileage, Family friendly, Very spacious in the cabin, 4 cup holders in the front, and 4 cup holders in the back, Dual A/C, A/C vents in the back for passengers, Memory seats, Traction control, Back up sensors Drives like a champ, Too much to list.
Dislike: 22 gallon tank.
My Work Car: 94 Camry
Likes: 4dr, Big cabin, Comfortable, 20 bucks gives me just about 3/4 of a tank at 2.99/gal
Dislikes: Small Cup holders, Head lights are plastic so they are discolored, 4cyl engine. Not enough power.

Daily Project: 90 VW Jetta GLi 16v
Likes: Endless shopping list of goodies, I know what's wrong, factory Recaro Seats, big brakes, near 50/50 weight distribution, close ratio 5-speed, mechanical windows and sunroof, no one wants to steal it, even when angry at car problems driving puts a smile on my face
Dislikes: Endless shopping list of goodies, I can't afford to fix what's wrong, stupid california emissions crap causes problems, shifting in 2-3 stages to be easy on the close-ratio 5-speed, apparently every 16v that hits junkyards is a skeleton in minutes, for some reason all c-pillars are tan no matter the interior color.

Daily Driver - 92 Honda CX Hatch
Likes - MPG. It's a hatch. Shifts so smooth. Lots of room for stuff I never allow to stay in it for more than when I need it. Easy to work on. Fun to drive. Manual steering. I can take it to the autox course for some fun.
Dislikes/Annoyances - Some sensor is out of whack. Cylinder 3 is losing compression. Burning oil due to very high mileage. I'll be building a bottom end soon (Okay I do enjoy that). Needs a paint job. Stupid trucks/suvs/vans think its fun to come up within a 1/4" of my back bumper at lights. It's the Honda fan boy car so keeping it on lock-down is a must. Guys freaking out that its clean and that I own it.
Project Car - 91 Honda STD Hatch (SCCA XP)
Likes - MPG. High Compression SOHC. Tosses into a corner like a dream. It's on rails. Rotates well into the course. Stays flat through corners and slamons. Flat torque curve. He's been with me since day one off the lot. Can carry all event equipment to the track/event location. Shifts smooth. Drives smooth. Easy to work on. Wheels/Tires/Suspension. The community of autocrossers I am part of.
Dislikes/Annoyances - I am in a SCCA class that I'll never fully prep him for. Need an LSD and should really go to 13x7 rims with slicks to improve my 2nd gear ratio so I won't have to shift on high speed courses. Some people that see him on the street thinks I'm out to race them - uh hello notice the legit race event stickers on him. Track only buddy. Or they laugh because they think I'm a ricer. Sure I have trophies not war stories moron. Stupid trucks/suvs/vans think its fun to come up within a 1/4" of my back bumper at lights. That when I take him out of town/state for an event I can't get a good nights sleep unless he is locked up at the track with a zillion other cars that are worth more than him. Guys freaking out that its clean and that I own it.

Breaks the tires loose in 3rd gear near 7k rpms. Flat torque curve. Can't wait to put it on better tires and lighter rims.
Dislikes/Annoyances - The idea that I should strip the hell out of it so it will be quick down the track. I understand their reasoning but I just like going to meet people and have fun. Domestics who like to GRRR at me. So I GRRR back to much of their drivers surprise. Stupid trucks/suvs/vans think its fun to come up within a 1/4" of my back bumper at lights. Guys freaking out that its clean and that I own it.
btw I really do love the Honda community and have for 24 plus years and counting. Now if we could only get of all the stupid kids/adults who think stealing is their only way to have some part of it.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

likes: comfortable, decent gas mileage, acceptable performance, above avg oem audio system, heated seats, subtle styling. In amazing shape mechanically and aesthetically for age.
dislikes: boring appliance. Dinged up rim causes terminal 85mph shake. Car eats motor mounts. recently replaced failed ignition switch caused random and dangerous engine shut offs. Car is in nickel/dime portion of lifespan. Auto dim rear view mirror is in half dim state. 16' wheel/tires ($$)

Current Daily: 1996 Buick Century

Project/Soon to be daily: Mildly built 1995 Mustang GT
Likes: It'll be mostly newish parts which should last me well over 60-70+k miles before any problems pop up. It'll put at least 300HP to the tires. It'll be nice and streetable. It looks good, ahs good paint, has good interior.
Dislikes: Its 5-spd which is a pain in the ass. Still lots of work and odds and ends to buy before its on the road. Not going to get great fuel economy. I'd rather be driving a luxury car, but since someone wrecked up my nice daily last year, I must play the hand life dealt me.
Toy: 2009 Yamaha Raider
Likes: Everything. Its awesome looking, great on gas, fast as hell, has gobs of torque, and fun to ride.
Dislikes: The stock pipes. Kinda cheezy looking. And I need to get bars with more pullback on 'em.

- Cheap
- Pretty good gas mileage
- Unbelievable turning radius
- Slow. Yes this is a positive
- Lightweight makes it somewhat fun to drive
- Flys under the radar
- Holds way more in cargo space than its shape suggests
- Most importantly - never ever breaks
Dislikes:
- No cruise control
- Doesn't handle like I'd want even with coilovers (almost there but not quite)
- Gearing is way too long. Understand its supposed to be slow, but the gears feel like they're long enough to go around the Earth and back.

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.
