Downshift and barke that way I am in the proper gear to go if it turns green before I am fully stopped.

neutral, and no brakes if its flat.......otherwise i will hold the brakes down.

for a normal stoplight, just keep it wherever it was until the rpm drop to ~1200, then clutch in and stop

unless there is heavy traffic behind me i decelerate to slow down (and brake only when i get under 30mph or so)

i also downshift as my speed drops.

deceleration is a way to get good gas mileage.. thats where your gas mileage skyrockets

when sitting at a red light i leave it in neutral.

its easier on the release bearing. and not to mention i dont have to hold my foot down all the time
