I must have bad luck with shops?
so lemme get this right. u got ur exhaust done, and MONTHS later it melted? so you mean to tell me in MONTHS, you never had your car jacked up, had it on a life or anything, and after driving it for MONTHS, hell dont you think it would have melted like within a week, depending on how far and how long you drive the car a day. if i was the shop i would tell you um yeah you can deff pay for us to fix it. like i would not eve offer to help. now i would if it was like a week later but what do you think there is a life time warranty..pfft
this is what you get for having some shop "custom" making you a axle back. buy a real axle back or a cat back and you wont have this problem

he is a typical BMW owner. Why would you expect the guys at a tire store to know where your spare is ? In my experience working at tire shops , the cars usually come in with the spare on , we dont usually have to put a grown man's spare tire on for him . If the exhaust was close enough to melt a brake line , it would have done it the first day , not months down the road
Well since everyone is an expect and knows all the facts on what happened. The Exhaust was not directly on the brake line, but close enough to melt it over a span of a few months, I got it done over the summer, thats not even 6 months, sorry I dont put my car on a lift all the time.
There's no excuse, all the assholes can bitch about it like there mad, but in the end, the exhaust caused the brake line to melt. Not its positioned much better, and away from the line, axle, and still plenty of ground clearance.
I learned my lesson tho.

They couldnt find it? I never said that, its in plain sight, and they saw it, they just couldnt figure how to take it out.
How am I a typical BMW owner? Thats such a dumbass, ignorant thing to say.

since the guys at a tire shop arent in the business of putting spares on cars why did you expect them to know how to remove your spare? If you're not a typical BMW owner , you sure as hell act like one , how do I know ? , because I deal with them almost everyday
