I must have bad luck with shops?
When I got my exhaust done last at Sure Stop off of lumsden and sr60 in brandon, things didnt go well first time around, the piping was too low and scraped the grown, but I took it back and they fixed it, but then it was hitting the bumper.. Then they adjusted it again... Cool right?
Nope, months later, my rear driver side brake line fails..
I lifted the car, and what do I find? One of the inner brake lines rubbing on the exhaust pipe
The line melted and of course is leaking brake fluid. The car is off the road and I'm taking it back to Sure Stop first thing in the morning. And while these guys were assholes, they fixed the problems last time, so I'm hoping they help me out tomorrow. I'm not expecting free shit, but I hope they offer to help, and re do the exhaust, and line? IDK
What you guys think of it? Sucks damnit...

I can just hear it now "Man Bob we sure ripped that kid off, good job!"

Really what are they gonna say? They dont give two shits about the work they do. I always see awesome random classic cars on their lifts, I assumed they did good work, conidering all I had done was from the axle back, idk why they did so bad on my car?
Is it that good old fashion euro car tech they cant figure out? What was the guy thinking when he was welding?
"damn brake line is in my way, oh well, its rubber it wont melt on the hot exhaust pipe."
Or did he just rush the job too much? Either way, is their a excuse for this kind of craftmanship? Or is it a brandon thing?

True, I learned my lession, but sorry for thinking that they would be smart enough to not make a mistake like this when they do sooo many exhaust jobs.

I learned to not really deal with shops unless they specialize in the type of car you have, at least when it comes to custom stuff. You would think a shop with classics in it, or higher end cars, or lots of fancy lifted trucks with extensive exhaust work would cut it, but they just see you as another kid with a rice [kraut] burner that wants a fart pipe, and they assume you probably just don't care as long as you get results.
Not all shops are like that though - and you do get what you pay for - but you can't expect much when they probably work on everything under the sun, and most of these non "trick out your car" shops that just do general exhaust work probably spend 90% of their exhaust fabbing time fixing busted up berettas and old cars with rusted out shit so they're not usually looking to make the best quality stuff.
Sucks to hear, but fix it so it doesn't happen again, and move on. Chances are taking it to the shop won't get you anything but doubletalk from some fat surly greaseball.

there are plenty of shops that deal with only german cars... i would definatly stick to those. Even for the simple shit.

Im hoping they fix the exhaust, and I can take care of the brake line.
