I wouldn't even be concerned with that, I'd do my best to make something that isn't held together with duct tape and painters tape. I mean you can tell he's going for practicality because he left one of the worst parts on, the windshield wipers...

Guy has a lot to learn about aerodynamics. He could have reduced his drag a lot better building a contraption like he did for the front for the rear of the car instead.
A teardrop shape would have been a more aerodynamic than anything with a blunt rear end would be.
