Im surprised they are using the Taurus and not the fusion, Taurus starts at like 25k and fusion at 19k, that and the fusion looks alot better....

 

The Taurus they will be using will be specifically built for them. It won't be a civilian built car modified into a cruiser. The government is probably getting a very good deal on them. It will prob still be cheaper then what they pay for a crown vic.

 

the Fusion is a mid size sedan, and that could limit the amount of donuts that could be carried and/or consumed.

these new police interceptors (g8 or w/e it's called now) and the taurus would upset about 99 percent of the people who post in pit road and people who go out the causeway/gandy/4th street on sat nights.
