I had Joe down at Suncoast VW do mine. They arent that hard to do but it does require a special tool to get them out. And the tool costs about $200-400 from Snap-On. But most quote:9938b594f4s that I got were from $60-$80 each side. And that was me bringing them all the parts already off the car!

Jesus...you guys are getting raped.
Dont know about VWs but I wouldnt think they are all that different. Just stick the hub/knuckle in a press and press the bearing out. All thats needed is the right size pilot and a hydrolic press. Whenever I need this done I just bring the knuckle down to a local shop and usually get charged around $20.

If you can get it done for 100.00 jump on it. Dont forget you will have to get an alingment after they are replaced.

But.....its not real hard to replace them.
Take everything apart. Bring the hub and w/bing to NAPA on Florida & Fletcher and then put everything back together. It will take a couple of hours at most. See if Les will do it.
