What is so special about the type R anyways is it like the difference between GT and Cobra Z-28 and SS ? I dont know that much about imports.

the motor has 25 more hp than the next model integra. 5 lug(typ-r) vs 4 lug(reg integra) better suspension no sunroof type-r rev limit is 8400rpm vs 8200rpm a close gear tranny 4.4fd and a lsd no other integra has one. and a really cool type-r sticker on the side and back. and also came in a champonship white you cant get that on any other model integra.

it is without a doubt the best handling FF car ever made.
out of the box power and handling are perfect which is why you sometimes see people racing them stock because their suspension was engineered very well and with a good flowing header cams and straight through exhaust (those are stock) they put out decent numbers.

better shocks and springs front sway bar is 24mm (same as the gsr but read on) rear sway bar on itr is 22mm (gsr one is only 15mm) the rear lower control arms are designed to deflect in a desireable (alignment way) while corning the bushings on the car are a hard rubber that is stiffer than normal bushings comes with a stiffer rear subframe a lower rear chasis brace a front upper and front lower chasis brace a trunk braceand lsd along with Bridgestone Potenza RE 010. Very well balanced car and actually handles compared to other front wheel drive cars. If you turn the steering wheel in this car at speed the car actually turns instead of continuing to go straight. It is a very easy car to get to do what you want it to do. The front brakes are 11.1 up front compared to other integras which are 10.3. The rear disc on the type r are also larger than hte other integras but cant remember the diameter. The head has been mildly hand ported better cams better valvesprings better pistons. Overall a very nice smooth well handling car even comes with Recaros.
