Also the SE-r was a cool car for it's time. I remember looking at them back in 1992, I almost considered trading my mustang in on it, but just couldn't make the switch to import. Cool car though.

also 2000 lbs and 400+ guesstimated HP makes for a fun car to drive, you should try it sometimes. But definitely not as fun as a 212 hp 3700 lbs BMW or a low 13 second Esprit!

It's still a compact car that you've turned into a drag based car. On the window sticker of the car, it didn't say: "Honda Civic, Sports Car."

Sure, it's fun to drive, fast or whatever but that is how you as an individual made it. It started out as a commuter appliance.

If this was directed at me, I agree a civic is not a sports car. It is a compact economy car.

-The term sports car has been defined as "an open, low-built, fast motor car."[1][2] The term describes a class of automobile with two seats, two doors, precise handling, brisk acceleration, and sharp braking — trading practical considerations such as passenger space, comfort, and cargo capacity — for driving enjoyment

-A car may be a sporting automobile without being a sports car. Performance modifications of regular, production cars, such as sport compacts, sports sedans, muscle cars, hot hatches and the like, generally are not considered sports cars, yet share traits common to sports cars. They are sometimes called "sports cars" for marketing purposes for increased advertising and promotional purposes.[5] Performance cars of all configurations are grouped as Sports and Grand tourer cars, or, occasionally, as performance cars.
