Well this isnt going to happen anytime soon...within the next month at the earliest. Will the new tires still be around $78 per tire?

I run the kumhos. You cant beat them for the price. What car are u using them on? I run them on my Z with approximently 376 ft lbs or torque and it kills those tires. But overall they hook decent corner decent are quiet dont hydroplane and are good in the rain.
Ill be running the RE730s soon so ill compare them to the kumhos here in a few weeks.

I hear no noise virtually quiet. But I dont have a sedan so I dont know how they sound under a hollow back seat area or anything. But they seem quiet. I believe there is no better bargin for a tire they perform like tires that cost twice as much.

I have them on my Cavalier so I cant really tell you about the
hookage. They handle pretty well. Great in there rain. Great tire
for the money. But I also have the 205/55-16s which are a harder
compound than the rest so they are a quite a bit louder than the
others. I have Falken Azenises on my SE-R and they are a gift
from God......

i have Falken FK-451s on my car. they may be a little more costly than the kuhmo but they provide great grip. they are not noisy at all either. i was actually thinking of getting the kuhnmo supras but i went with the falken instead. i would suggest Falkens to anyone.

If I were you I would go with the Firestone SZ50s...I am running the RE730s on my Z and they are loud as hell after having them for about 5000 hard miles they get loud! The firestones are an all around better tire. However the Potenzas are a great tire handle great get good grip rain or dry just run the pressure in them a little low ~28 and no problems grippin! Just my .02 & HO!

I wanted SZ50 EPs but i got a great deal with the RE730s already on the Chrome SS rims. Would have cost me another 300 bucks and the trouble and cost of getting them mounted and getting the tires to the shop. But if i have the money. Firestone Firehawk SZ50 EPs are the tires i will be getting for sure.
Im not too worried about the tires being loud. I have borla open plate exhaust and play my stereo fairly loud have the t tops off most of the time so I hear a lot of wind noise.
