Default New project ideas

I recently acquired a 2000 ford zx2 with front end damage. ..

I am going to fix the front end, but I am going to be switching the chassis to either a rwd or an awd setup. Obviously rwd would be easier.. but I want to make sure I am not over looking any drive train options that would be available.

s2000 ?
302 with miata rear end ?
sr20 ?
gtx awd ?
subaru setup ?
4.6L ?

I would at least like to stay away from a straight axle rear end.

What would you do ? I'm not going to be starting any fab work till spring possibly.. I am not going to be racing the car when its done , just doing something to do it.

I'm in no hurry. It would be a plus if I could keep a/c though .. I think I will be able to no matter what I do though.

fix it, sell it and get a focus, you can get a bolt in kit to make it rwd with a V8....

Too common/easy. Have you priced the kits lately ? They are about 12K now. I called on one about 6 months ago.

yea the s/ced 3.8s. I dont know what trannys would work. Maybe a 5 speed outta a camaro/firebird with the 3.8 but I think the bolt pattern is different for the trans.
