ok. Thats basically a v6 firebird setup with different internals to handle the super charger. I believe we could get a junkyard v6 firebird, upgrade the internals and put a gtp supercharger on it

Umm okay. Any of those motors can fit into a Civic, yet even an LS1 will make more power out of the box than the motors listed.

Early Escorts came with the 1.8 Miata's BP engine..some people actually swap that in 1.6 Miatas. They respond well to turbos, and came from the factory turbo in the Mazdaspeed Proteges and Miatas. I dont know if you already have that, or if they came with the 2.0 ZETEC or whatever by then. You could bolt a Miata 5 speed and Miata/S2k diff (same insides) to it all.

I think an AWD Cosworth setup would be hot in a car like that though..no idea how much effort that would take, but if you're even considering a RWD swap, you should understand that.

I know. I was stating that because of the dude that put one in his ek hatch already.

Orion - I looked into the BP awd setup as well. I've always wanted to do one in a 95 hatch.. but I basically got this car on "accident" literally, so this is what I have to work with.

Prolly costs more money than other similar ideas. Like I said, you might be able to reuse the engine and make it longitudinal into an AWD setup...or transverse AWD..I dont know which would be easier, but longitudinal engines always > transverse.
