Who wants a 4cyl that does not rev high and has all sorts of NVH problems? Not I. I am happy with my little Honda motor as I was happy with my little 4cyl 2.0L DOHC Ford motor before. If Chrysler could make something that could equal what Honda manages to put out people would line up. But a warmed over PT Cruiser motor...Ill pass no matter what bodywork you put it in.

They do and have ie SRT Neon GLH Omnis Spirit R/Ts. They started doing all that back in the 80s. Where were you all at? 1st gen Neons arent doing to bad in Japan with their import racing scene. Ford is also doing pretty good with the Focus and if they do the SVT Focus which Im hoping they do nice to have more Domestic oppenents. Like Chuck 98rt said its amazing that any cars make it to production with all the limits the govt is setting on car manufacturers. Hell in a few years Deisles are going to be iilegal in a few states. Chrysler built a Diesel car concept that was outrageous. But because of those states they scrapped the concept. i know here in AZ they give you some ytax breaks and other perks for having electric and alternate fuel cars/suvs. The Alternate Fuel cars are everywhere out here. Weird seeing a Cadillac Escalade with Propane tanks and hook ups.

I think what was intended by the whole why not just get a 6 or V8? debacle was that NO MATTER HOW YOU TUNE IT no 4 banger will run 10sec N/A. Unless the car weighs like 1000lbs and even then!
You can make a v8 push 10s and even be streetable.
Dont fucking flame me though Id love to have a 1g talon running 27psi! Or a TT kit for my car...
And I am a firm disbeliever that dodge can produce a reliable engine (well one that will hold oil at least). AND I give props to Neon R/T ACRs: those cars can turn.

Heres two reliable Dodges. Nearly 70K miles between them and never a wrench turned on motor tranny or diff. I change oil every 3K and never add in between changes. That includes track days. Both have done track time. Obviously one more than the other.

I guess my dads pickup with 270000 is doing pretty good too!
How many Dodges have you owned 138Mustang? Im sure you must have had at least 3 or else your statement is a falacy because you have no ground to stand on.
But Ford people love Fords Chevy people love Chevys and Dodge people love Dodges. Nothings gonna change that so theres no point in arguing.

I had a 96 ACR Neon for a long time 5 years. The biggest problems I had with her was the Steering Knuckle was defective wiping out the wheel bearing the thermister was bad from factory and That was it until the bolt for the idler pulley snapped off. The car lasted 118k miles that does not invclude the countless nights it sat idling for hours on end. I paid 10k for it new and Im not going to complain I had more probs with the S10 I owned and it cost me almost 8k.

I also could make a list of people who are running 12s or better on a bone stock 100000+ mile engine.
