Its All you guys fault for trying to build up these 4-bangers. If everyone would dump the 4-banger and demand 8 cylinders they would make more 8 cylinder cars.
And it is Chryslers fault for making crappy 4cyls and the cars that they are attached to that totally disinterest us. Honestly if they made a quality product enthusiasts would buy it. Who wants a 4cyl that does not rev high and has all sorts of NVH problems? Not I. I am happy with my little Honda motor as I was happy with my little 4cyl 2.0L DOHC Ford motor before. If Chrysler could make something that could equal what Honda manages to put out people would line up. But a warmed over PT Cruiser motor...Ill pass no matter what bodywork you put it in.

A Crappy K Car running 10s oh yeah Dodge 4 bangers suck and we dont have Vtech.
You just dont know. Cant really hold you too responsible. We sold an old Omni that we converted to Turbo and in place we bought A GLH Omni that we are building a T2 for along with an 87 Turbo Shadow. We also had an ACR Neon on the other hand not including the 70 Newport Convertible with a built 383 my 66 Barracuda and 73 Duster to name a few. So we know both sides of the fence. Do you?? By Choice. If it Has an Engine I can more than likely get it to run better. If its a Mopar then It WILL be faster/efficent then when I first got my hands on it.

Also- The Prowler got canceled. Thanks DC
Their intention was to produce Prowlers for 5(?) years and no longer. Too bad its always nice to see something other than a SUV on the road.

As far as production numbers for V8 vs 4 its not so much supply and demand as it is government restrictions. CAFE regulations safety requirments its amazing that some cars even make it to production.
