To the op, if you plan on keeping the car dont even think about upping the boost yet as you've already found out you will run into many little problems! this is where you start to replace old worn out parts dont do to much at one time for instance replace all the hoses and ignition parts because if you fix a prob you may end up with another and wont know which one caused it! do a boost leak test and ensure you have no leaks once that is done then fix all those old crack vac hoses see how she runs then update us!
