I would buy to eclipse and get a good exhaust system intake and a 100 direct port nitrous kit. A good driver with this setup should be able to run 13s and it will remain reliable.

I kinda like the car it has alot of tourqe and potention. Mitsubishi put that engine in it because it is alot more reliable. Not that the 4g63 isnt reliable but it seems that alot of punk ricers get them and fuck them up.

Id say trade the auto prelude for a stick prelude and mod that.

You read WAY too much into that post.

H22A has around 150lbs of torque which isnt gobs but is by far much better than its other 4 cyls. PS I wouldnt state that a motor has torque AFTER modification...

And yes it is possible for someone to buy anything other than a Honda. I actually think Nissan is worlds better than Honda...we just dont get their good engines in a production car over here. But the topic was about buying a new Eclipse or a HONDA. So if I didnt like the new Eclipse guess what...yep I would suggest the HONDA...amazing isnt it.

Reasons to back up
*Honda has a HUGE aftermarket 3g Eclips has some but not near as much
*The Prelude is a much better built car all around body integrity engine research reliability etc.
*Honda motors are proven to take abuse and keep going Ive known alot of people having trouble with the new Eclipse/Galant and that motor
*Preludes are faster stock for stock
*Again there is way more availability and options for building the Honda motor.

Preludextc
Do a search for it but its something close to www.revhard.com . That might be it but I cant remember. Its not hard to find though. They are a little more expensive but when you read the quality parts used you wont mind spending a little more for a kit that will make a LOT more HP. And I would get rid of your Auto for a 5-speed.

A GSR with a Revhard kit would rock also.

No problem just make sure you get in touch with Mr. Self Destruct when you get the turbo kit and are ready to get it put on/tuned!

Good luck. If you need any parts let me know!

the new eclipses have loads of problems...the Midsouth DSM club here has had plenty of experience with them and if any of the members still have their 3rd gen eclipses it's cause they gave it to their son/daughter for graduation or end up selling it after a few months
