Default Local shop to clean gas tank?

I have a gas tank for a VW bug that has some light rust in the bottom. Does anyone know of a shop in Tampa or north Pinellas area that can repair the tank?

Has anyone tried the Eastwood fuel tank repair kit?

I went through this with the cadillac. There are pro's and cons to having it cleaned. Try a radiator shop.

If it were me, I'd just replace it...only like $115 for a new one.

The problem is the new ones are all chinese and rust very fast since they aren't galvanized. So even if I bought a new one, I'd still need to coat it.

I'm actually doing some research on a VW forum and it seems many people are claiming success with the eastwood kit. I may do this.

When I'm concerned about rust, I buff the paint away and
galvanize it with the spray from Home Depo.

You might also clean/paint it with the El Expenso shiny black
epoxy paint from Eastwood. That stuff is hard!-Bob
