Fiat and Alfa Romeo to come to US?

If I recall, Fiat was here in the 70's. I know some guys from USF who bought Fiat Spyders. The Italian Communist-controlled labor unions shut down the factories, dealers couldn't get parts, and eventually American dealers got the rug jerked out from under them and closed.
I think Alfas are pretty cool cars, but I wonder........since Fiat bought part of Chrysler.........does that mean some of the "bailout/stimulus/bull manure"
money is being sent overseas?-Bob
