I say do it in stages for sure.

Frist thing(s) you're going to want to upgrade on your brave journy to 1000hp is going to be the fuel system.

What you want is this:

-4 1600cc injectors
-Walbro 255 intank pump + another inline pump
-upgraded Stainless Steel lines
-upgraded fuel rail
-an Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator, so you can turn the fuel pressure to max.
-c16 race gas.

You should buy and install all of this right now, because the car should run just fine with these components installed, and then move onto the next stage!

Next stage would be a big fucking turbo, like a 16g or something crazy like that. Dont forget to get a top-mount manifold for it as well. You will also need twin TiAL 40mm wastegates, and an HKS SSQV blow off valve, as well as a big shiny front mount intercooler. For the intercooler, I would look at having a custom one made out of titanium, or magnesium.

Stage 3 should deffinetly be saftey since you will now be driving the automotive equivalent of a rocket ship. So go out and buy some 14" wilwood brakes (front and rear) so you can slow this puppy down! You will probably also need some FRAM brake pads. You will deffinetly want to get a roll cage in there, so you should get a nice 4pt race cage, or just build one yourself out of square tubing.

Stage 4 would be next, and you should look into weight reduction. Remove the entire interior, including the dash / seats / carpet / windows / etc etc etc until you have just a bare shell. You will want to replace your drivers seat with a blue DAD racing seat. Also get the aforementioned 3' tach, or larger if you can find it, the shift light is MANDATORY! <-- do not skip that step. Another important weight-loss step is light weight rims. Look at ROTA, as they make high-end JDM rims that are super light. Look for a 15" or smaller rim, since it will be lighter, and rotate faster, thus making your car faster.

Last stage, after building the fuel system, turbo kit, saftey measures, and weight reduction would be making your engine capable of handling all the power you're now giving it!

-I would recommend going with a 12.5-12.7 compression ratio piston, with ported cylinders, and ceramic coated shot-peened stock rods. For the head you should add some JUN stage 3 cams, stock valve springs / retainers / valves. And an HKS Adjustable cam gear. Or just take the easy route and get a k20a integra type-r head and mate that to your block since it is the highest flowing head on the market.

Hope this helps you! Post some pictures as you build her up!
