the first to f1 races of the season?
The 80s were the best. Not only were there names like Senna, Prost, Mansell and Lauda and a shitload of constructors and engines but there was also the CART (Indy) that was just as respectable with names like Andretti, Unser, Fittipaldi and Mears. Sports car racing was still at it's peak too, and dare I mention NASCAR topping 210 mph in those old non-tech, 4-speed, all driver 3,400 lb rides.
It was a miserable decade for Detroit but probably the greatest decade for race fans. I miss it.
Search for some 80s F1 or Indy races on YouTube and you'll see some of the best coverage ever.

I can guarantee you that I'd become a dedicated fan if they once again when to turbos, let alone turbos and direct injection. Turbos are the future for production cars, and if FIA wants to get remotely close to trickle down technology, forced induction alone can help, as can DI, which I'm pretty certain will eventually become standard on all spark ignition engines.
BMW has recently committed to having their entire lineup turbocharged, and even more recently said that M cars will be turbo'd from now on as well. Ford has their Ecoboost V6 and incoming I4, VW/Audi has stuck with it and direct injection, etc. etc.
What better way to tell the treehuggers to "cram it in your ass" than having something that has such a big impact on power, yet helps emissions?

was it me or did the firs two race of the f1 season kind of dull. why don't the other teams just get the stupid defusser under there cars!costs a boat load of money and what was up with putting the race time up so it runn right at the time it rained? to satisfy the european audience, their biggest marketcom on f1 . gett it together !!!!
but i do like the way the new cars lookprobably the most hideous rear wing i've ever seen on a car. kind of classic ans alot smoother and fast looking without all the winglets . and im likeing the k.e.r system it's keeping the passing harderit's supposed to make the passing easier, since it's driver managed and the big teams driver are not just running away with the race .
so anymore imput let here them

I dont think so at all. The idea is to get the same power of a larger engine with a smaller more fuel efficient engine and a blower slapped to it. The Ecoboost V6's competition is supposed to be a list of V8s that it actually makes more power and gets better mileage than.
