was it me or did the firs two race of the f1 season kind of dull. why don't the other teams just get the stupid defusser under there cars! and what was up with putting the race time up so it runn right at the time it rained? com on f1 . gett it together !!!!

but i do like the way the new cars look kind of classic ans alot smoother and fast looking without all the winglets . and im likeing the k.e.r system it's keeping the passing harder and the big teams driver are not just running away with the race .

so anymore imput let here them

 

I disagree that either race was dull. Both were full of chaos and plenty of solid racing action. The FIA issues between the diffuser and the McLaren disaster are the only annoying part of all of this season.

 

I think there is some good turmoil going on with teams and drivers trying to figure things out. Unfortunately most of it is going on in conference rooms rather than garages, but it has still made things interesting on the track.

Anyways, if anyone can prove they believed before Australia that Brawn would be in the position they are in then that person gets to wear the F1 Insider Guru Crown for the rest of the season.

 

I would say learn more about F1 and it's design/R&D. you don't just slap on a part off a shelf for these cars....

I would also totally disagree with the boring statement. there has been more overtaking in the first two races then there was in the first half of last season!

 

to burgy ... i've been watch ing f1 since like 83 and the days of the turbos and the total tech cars . yes you just can't just slap a part on the cars ...buttt if yo u want to compete you will!! the other team are trying to save money and time by not redsigning the cars.

ya i remember as a kid when they would say that those car were running close to 1000hp
the best was the early 90's when the car were realy high tech it was great butt that all ended with the cost of racing and so high profile deaths

 

I saw my first F1 race last weekend live (why was I even up that late/early?). I have to say it was quite exciting and despite the dumb timing schedule with the bad weather, the race was cool to watch. Overtaking and a great showcase of driver and engineering talent.

Being a whore for turbos, I too wouldve liked to have been around for them. I really hope when the engine ban is lifted next year that they go through with the E85 and turbo setup that was rumored months ago.

 

^ I was around back then and it was awesome!! I remember watching before I was even in HS. Glad to see you made the commitment to watch. We all need to get together once there is a race at a more normal time in the US!!
