TSI FWD or 87-93 Mustang GT 5.0?
i agree with all of them... out of the 2 the stang will give you more for less... i had a friend who had a 92 GT that was running mid 11s (best was 11.49) and was a daily driver and he spent maybe $2500 on the whole set up.
You can make a mustang faster for FAR cheaper than the damn TSI even awd shit just get a set of gdrag radials and you can pull in comparable 60 foot times without the heartache of the damn parts breaking as much. Plus the whole care is a ton simpler to work on.

I dont agree Tony. I dont know the first damn thing about how to make a Mustang fast. Im no master tuner either. I research and do what works just like I would have to do if I were to buy a Stang right now.
Driveline problems? I created my driveline problems by using inferior parts. U-Joints to be exact. Had I used factory u-joints I would have had zero driveline problems. If I were a master tuner I would have had the sense to use the right parts. That said anyone at the same level or a level below me in the power Dept should have no problems.
Im not trying to rip anyone here. I just get sick of people judging a cars reliability or durability only on their own experiences as a beginner. I have had much much MUCH better luck with my Talon than any V8 RWD Honda Toyota Nissan or anything else Ive ever owned. So I just find the Talons break excuse pretty lame.
Carry on.

Well I was giving him the opinion from somebody that has owned BOTH cars he is speaking about. I had FAR less issues with my mustang with the same high mileage and comparable powerand I GUARANTEE you that with your want of speed you would have had a faster mustang than a talon had you opted for an older fox chassis.

Get the talon. I have $300 in mods and ran a traction limited 14.2. 2.3 60fts suck. Put $200 in drag radials and stiffin up the rear suspention and mid 13s easy. BTW Ill race any mustang with $300 in mods from a roll and we will see who prevails. FWD Talons are Highway monsters.
