You can't use aluminum. You need sheet metal and a mig welder. And you're going to have to cut the entire affected area clear off or the rust will keep spreading. Nobody short of a bodywork professional is going to be able to make this look halfway decent, and you're going to spend $$$ to get it done. Possibly more than your car is worth.

^ that would so turn someone off from buying it... Cancer on hondas is super common if it comes from up north..

Reminds me of my Eg hatch... got hit and a huge part of bondo flew off... like the size of my hand and quite thick to...

let me see if i can find a pic of it..

here... you can see right there on the bottom it flew off... I know the car had rust but never knew it was that bad....

Your car is probably worth around 2k without the rust. I'm taking off points mostly for the shitty paintjob, the fact that its probably got plenty of miles on it, and adding points for things like the rims, and the probably decent sound system you likely have in there. Anyways, blue book in excellent condition is about 2075 bucks.

You're going to spend a lot of money having that fixed properly. The entire section of the car's body has to be ordered and the old section cut out. Then the new section welded in and smoothed out and repainted. How much do you think that would cost?

I recommend just hackjobbing it however you can find. Fuck, rivet in some peices of fiberglass and smooth the edges with bondo or something, who cares? You should consider what makes economic sense with the car. I mean you could go the route of welding in new material, but like I said...a pro is needed or its going to look like shit anyways and cost more money...and a pro is going to be VERY EXPENSIVE as they have to do what I described above.
