that is really nice. not much room in the engine bay. it looks like a nightmare to work on.

there is a pretty large camry following. used to be a forum with alot of members, back around 1999-2000.

the 5s-fe engine in the 4 cyl camrys could be turbocharged with all 3s-gte parts and manifolds...it was a nice little budget setup that could make 200whp (back in the day that was kinda quick lol).

many have successfully dropped 3s-gte engines (celica alltrac or mr2) into camrys, but i dont think anyone really ever put alot of money into them to really expand their potential. the 3s-gte is pretty stout. the 4th generation camry had a trd supercharger for the v6 models that was popular, and there were some guys making nice power with it. the camry even came in all wheel drive in the 2nd generation in the late 80s...competing with cars like the awd civic wagon and such. they just never took off with the tuner market, and of course never had any jdm vtec counterparts to spur attraction towards them. they were used alot in touring races in the 90s though with large success, and they utilized v6 engines and competed with audis and such, one of those classes i forget which.

just a little camry knowledge for ya. lol i still remember quite a bit of it.
This is why I find it so damn ironic that Hondas caught on like they did. The 3S-FE and later 5S-FE that came in the Camry is mechanically the same as the MR-2 versions, which have a very dedicated, devoted following.

Get a Civic and swap in a completely different engine/drivetrain from some other Honda we never got, or bolt on the turbo and manifold with factory parts and have less to worry about.

Of course, with how popular the big H has become, originating overseas and now here, it might be easier to find Honda parts, even JDM ones.

But of course, you also have to worry about a high dumbass owner-to-car ratio (which I definitely know about ). And even worse, the theft.

Pretty cool.

I would take the lip and wheels off and raise it back to stock height, make it look like grandmas camry. Total sleeper. it would startle people
