Hmmm... I think I have the best of both worlds... I own a Honda Accord as well as a Camaro...

Just incase anyone is wondering... On a 800 mile road trip, my at the time, 360hp LT1 camaro got apprx 28-29mpg on the highway. In town it probably got 17. LS1 are well known to get 30's on the highway. The camaro will sit at about 1700rpms while cruising at 70mph. Basically idle down the highway. Unfortunately with the 400-430hp this car will probably only see 24-27 on the highway.


Although averaging highway and city miles most Hondas except the s2000 (aka also a performance car) will beat the camaro in gas mileage.... Who would have ever guessed huh?

But if you want to have the fastest and quickest accelerating muscle car out then buy the camaro. The new Camaro lapped the nuremburg faster than any the Acura NSX's ever made... while matching E36 M3 and Porche 993GT3. Lap time of 8:20. Times should improve after GM tweaks the tuning and suspension.

On the track, at the drag strip, or for hauling around your groceries with its nice sized trunk... this car is for you.. Looks bad ass too...

 

Saw a black one driving on dale mabry this morning on the way to work... looks really nice in person.

 

I like the LS7 but in black to bad it won't be produced, but thats why they make crate engines. Can't wait to go check one out.

 

definitely bad ass!!! even though it's been beat to death, in my 02 z28 with and auto tranny, I went all the way to panama city(took back roads and interstates) from lakeland and averaged 24mpg's all the way.

 

I don't think it'll sell as much as its expected due to the economy and all. Probably a day late and dollar short. But much better lines then the 94-01 style (4th gen I think they're called).

Did they still put in a 10 bolt or upgraded to a 12?

Expect the camaro to be quite good around corners, unlike Mustangs and Challengers.

 

I'll expect them to be decent, good as far as it's current class goes though

I believe it shares a lot with the 04-06 GTO but I stopped following the Camaro a long time ago
